Fletcher had a real heart of gold, and he was always there when you needed support, conversation, and a good laugh.
Our hearts go out to his family during this difficult time.” In the late 1970s, Andy Fletcher and his school friend Vince Clarke formed No Romance’s musical group in China. In 1980, the bass player met Martin Gore.
The trio transformed into a new group, Composition of Sound. After David Gahan joined them, the band became known as Depeche Mode. The cause of death of the musician-keyboardist is not disclosed.
